Privacy Policy
Last updated: 15 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data SYOS collects when you visit syosbyss.com and join the early list during our pre-launch (Coming Soon) phase, how we use it and the choices you have.
1. Who we are
SYOS is operated by SYOS by SS. We are responsible for the personal data described in this policy. You can contact us about privacy at hello@syosbyss.com.
2. What we collect
When you join the early list we collect:
- your email address;
- your consent to receive SYOS launch updates, early-access offers and occasional useful emails, and when you gave it;
- which list you are on: the Coming Soon Waitlist, and the Founding 30 list if you are one of the first 30 qualifying signups.
We do not ask for your name, phone number or payment details at this stage.
When you visit the website, our hosting provider automatically processes basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, so the website can be delivered and kept secure.
3. How we use it
- to send you the emails you agreed to receive: launch updates, early-access offers and occasional useful emails;
- to send an automated welcome email when you join, and to tell you about your Founding 30 or Early Access status and SYOS launch;
- to allocate Founding 30 places fairly, in the order signups are received, and make sure the same email only counts once;
- to protect the website and the early list from spam and abuse.
4. Founding 30 allocation and spam protection
To allocate Founding 30 places, we store a one-way coded version (a hash) of your email address together with your status (Founding 30 or Early Access). The hash lets us recognise a repeat signup without storing your readable email address in that system.
To stop automated or repeated signups, we briefly count signup attempts using a one-way coded version of your IP address. This count is deleted automatically after 10 minutes, and your IP address is not stored alongside your email address.
5. Our legal basis
Where data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on your consent to send you marketing emails, and on our legitimate interests to keep the website secure, prevent abuse and allocate Founding 30 places fairly. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
6. Service providers we use
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us run SYOS, under their own terms and security measures:
- Brevo: our email and contact management provider. Brevo stores your email address, consent and list membership, and sends our emails, including automated welcome emails.
- Upstash: database infrastructure for the Founding 30 allocation and spam protection described above. It holds the coded versions of your email and IP address, not your readable email address.
- Vercel: hosts the website and processes the technical information described above.
Some of these providers may process data in countries other than yours. Where the law requires it, we rely on appropriate safeguards for those transfers.
7. Emails and unsubscribing
Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to unsubscribe you at hello@syosbyss.com. If you unsubscribe we will stop sending you marketing emails, but we may keep a minimal record so that we respect your choice. If you unsubscribe you may miss launch details, including Founding 30 information.
9. How long we keep your data
- Early list details: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, or until we no longer need them for SYOS launch and related offers.
- Founding 30 and Early Access status: for as long as launch benefits linked to your status may apply.
- Spam protection counts: deleted automatically after 10 minutes.
- Technical hosting data: for the period set by our hosting provider for security and operations.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict how we use it, to receive a copy of it, and to withdraw your consent at any time.
To use any of these rights, contact us at hello@syosbyss.com. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
11. Security
We use reputable providers and sensible technical measures to protect your data, including keeping access keys on our servers only and storing coded versions of identifiers where we can. No online service can be completely secure, but we work to keep your data safe.
12. Children
SYOS is designed for people running or starting a business. The early list is not intended for children.
13. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy when the way we use personal data changes, for example when SYOS launches and payments are introduced. The latest version will always be on this page. See also our Terms & Conditions.
